How Do I Care for my Demi-Fine Jewelry?
First - Make sure that you've unpackaged and begin caring for your pieces immediately - letting them sit in their packaging can cause them to begin to tarnish - Crazy, right?! Even the air around us can cause a chemical reaction.
Follow these tips to keep your jewelry looking new:
- After each wear, wipe your jewelry down with a soft cloth to remove oils and make-up.
- Every few wears, rinse your jewelry under lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft cloth.
- Store your jewelry when not wearing it in a safe place and in a zip lock bag or airtight container.
- Don't wear your jewelry in the shower, pool, ocean, or in a hot tub
- Keep your jewelry away from perfumes, lotions, hairspray, and sunscreen - this helps prevent tarnishing which is a chemical reaction with the elements
- Take your jewelry off before bed, you may tangle or damage it through the night
